Order of the Emerald and Order of the Pearl Nomination Information and Criteria 2014-2015
The Order of the Emerald and Order of the Pearl are some of the highest honors bestowed on Kappa Delta alumnae members. We encourage you to nominate outstanding alumnae for these awards.
The Order of the Emerald is designed to recognize extraordinary service to Kappa Delta either on the local, state or national level. Alumnae who have served in one or several of the following positions are eligible: chapter advisory board, alumnae chapter, house corporation board, Panhellenic or National Leadership Team. The recipients shall have exhibited selfless devotion to the sorority.
The Order of the Pearl is designed to recognize a alumna’s extraordinary service to the community. The alumna should have achieved prominence at the national, state or local level in areas other than Kappa Delta. Recipients exemplify, in every way, the ideals of the sorority.
Every individual member, alumnae chapter, collegiate chapter, chapter advisory board and house corporation may nominate one alumna for the Order of the Emerald AND one alumna for the Order of the Pearl. Women who currently serve as national volunteers on the NLT are not eligible for nomination during their service. If you have questions about the process, contact the alumnae development manager Meredith McCrea at Kappa Delta National Headquarters at 901-748-1897, ext. 223 or email@example.com.
Please submit the completed nomination form and a clear photo to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than November 1, 2014. Awards will be presented at the 2015 National Convention in June.
